No1 Dress is only worn on ceremonial occasions, and, in some regiments, by the duty officer. It is also regularly required to be worn by a short list of other units, senior staff officer, and officers appointed as aides to the Royal Family and to the personal staff of senior officers in command.
No2 PARADE/SERVICE DRESS
No2 uniform is worn for most formal duties by all units and can be worn on ceremonial parades when not in No1 uniform, it can also be worn daily by staff officers as daily dress.
No2 DAILY SERVICE DRESS
No3 WARM WEATHER PARADE DRESS
No3 dress is the warm weather equivalent of No. 1 dress, worn for specified overseas stations or assignments in warm/tropical regions.
No4 WARM WEATHER PARADE/SERVICE DRESS
Warm weather version of No2 Uniform.
No4 WARM WEATHER DAILY SERVICE DRESS
Warm weather version of No2 Daily Service Dress.
DAILY BARRACK DRESS (VARIATIONS)
Daily officers dress when not required in No2 Dress. If in warm weather regions No4 trousers to be worn.
